4 Blogging Tips

Hi! I realize I haven't been on here since Christmas, which is kind of sad. I'm sorry I haven't made time for you guys! Anyway, I was trying to think of an interesting post, and since most of my followers are bloggers, I thought you guys would appreciate some blogging tips. So here they are! :)

#1~ Blog about what you love. I love blogging about crafts and lifestyle stuff, and I don't just do it to fill space on my blog, but so you guys can enjoy it. If I posted about some subject that I don't enjoy, there would probably be small, insufficent posts on here and I would be asking myself why I even started a blog anyway. The truth is, I LOVE THIS BLOG!!! I love writing on it and seeing all your encouraging comments. So my advice would be to write about what you love.

#2~ Try to post once a week. I know I haven't lived up to this, and you guys might be really busy, but for your readers' sake, try to post once a week. One of my blogger friends posts every Monday and it seems like that has really worked out for her. I read her blog all the time because there are constantly new posts that interest me. Personally, I want to set a goal to post once a week, and you should too.

#3~ DON'T change your username and picture often. I don't know about you, but when people constantly change their blogging username I get VERY confused. It is okay to change your pic once in a while to liven things up, but try not to change your username often. Obviously, it's not my choice, it's yours, but people will feel comfortable if they can count on seeing one username all the time.

#4~ Try to take pictures to go along with your post. Pictures always liven things up. When I see a picture, I am pulled in to reading the entire post. Making cool backgrounds and editing your pictures adds a nice touch and attracts viewers and readers.

Thanks for reading! I hope to make a schedule soon to stick to! See you soon.

It's Christmas Cookie Time!

Hey all! Today's post is how to make one of my favorite Christmas cookies: Peanut Butter Blossoms! These cookies are delicious and you can decorate them or leave them plain to enjoy! Here is the recipe. Once again, I would like to thank my sis for helping with the picture!

You will need:

1 3/4 cups FLOUR
1/2 cup SUGAR
1/2 cup BROWN SUGAR
1 tsp. BAKING SODA
1/2 cup SHORTENING (or butter)
1/2 cup PEANUT BUTTER
1 EGG
2 T. MILK
1 tsp. VANILLA
1/2 tsp. SALT
48 HERSHEY'S KISSES

Combine all the ingredients except the kisses in a large mixing bowl. Blend well at low speed. Shape into balls and roll in sugar. Bake at 375 degrees on an ungreased cookie sheet for 10-12 minutes. Remove from oven. Top each cookie immediately with a candy kiss, pressing down gently so cookie cracks around edge. Makes about 48 cookies.

A DIY Gift in 2 Easy Steps!

It's time to start DIY-ing for Christmas! Today I have a diy gift to share with you: Scented Bath Salts! This gift is perfect for the person in your life who loves pampering. Many thanks to my lovely sister, who not only edited the pictures, but also helped me make the salts.

You will need Epsom salt, a mason jar, a scent (any type, we used peppermint), food coloring, and baking soda as well as measuring cups and a large bowl.

Step 1: Mix the Epsom salt, baking soda, and scent together.

Step 2: Add the food coloring and mix very well. Then pour your bath salt into a clean and dry mason jar.

The Christmas Season

Hey everyone! Thanksgiving is over and I hope you all had a great day. But now it's on to the Christmas season. This blog will be filled with gift ideas, seasonal crafts, and decorating tips for the holidays! But remember: before you get into this busy season, remember what Christmas is all about! Jesus came to earth as a baby and was crucified for our sins. Even though Thanksgiving is over, we need to remember to thank God for the best gift of all: his Son! xoxo, BloggerA

OOTW (Outfit of the Week)

Today's outfit of the week is not only warm and comfy, but also stylish! I wear it all the time. So to begin, I got the rose and lace shirt from Target. I just love the pattern and the lace as an extra decorative touch. It's also really comfortable. REALLY comfortable. Next, I got the jeans from none other than Old Navy! Old Navy has an excellent variety of jeans so I encourage you to go there. If you don't have an Old Navy, any pair of jeans will work! These jeans are comfy and really stylish! So, that's the outfit of the day! P.S. I usually wear this outfit with high boots. xoxo, BloggerA
See you next time!

A Fun Autumn Twist!

Hello! I am back with a new craft post for you! I have really been into making crafts with leaves lately. So here is a unique craft that I spent a lot of time on for you guys! This is a pretty easy craft and all you need are three different colors of paints, a paintbrush, and of course a leaf! Then you can paint the leaf any color and add some decorative touches to it. I added a few bold stripes to my leaf! Make sure to let your leaf dry completely. And there you have it! A fun twist on an autumn craft! Eventually the leaf will dry up, so enjoy it while it lasts! I have included a picture of my version of the craft. Thanks for reading! Also, Later on I will be posting about how I upload my crafts so look out for it! Also I am trying to stick to a schedule for posting! LOL! xoxo, BloggerA
